GCE develops energy performance certificate of Yuzhno-Priobskiy GPP

GCE energy efficiency experts have performed energy audit and developed the energy conservation program of Yuzhno-Priobskiy gas processing plant with the annual capacity around one billion cubic meters of associated petroleum gas (APG).

GCE experts found Yuzhno-Priobskiy GPP to be a highly energy efficient facility. However, the energy audit revealed additional energy saving potential.

Based on the audit results, the experts proposed optimization of pumping equipment in boiler houses and hydraulic balancing of the heat networks. The key energy saving measure consisted in switching off petroleum gas electrical heaters in summer that will result in annual savings of 2.7 million rubles.

The total energy saving potential of the facility is approximately 276 tons of reference fuel equaling 3.4 million rubles per year.

Yuzhno-Priobskiy gas processing plant was commissioned in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area in September 2015. The facility employs cutting-edge technologies that enable associated petroleum gas to be processed into natural gas and natural gas liquids. NGLs are used as primary raw material for a wide range of products: rubber substance, plastic, ethanol, solvents etc. Utilization of APG allows to considerably reduce load on the environment and contributes to the most efficient use of hydrocarbon mineral resources.
